Review

This review applies to version 3.6 The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our informers.

Bible Analyzer is a free program for reading and studying the Bible. Unlike many other Biblical software, this one features an attractive and functional interface that lets you read any Bible book or chapter, consult one of the included dictionaries and commentaries, and write your own notes, all in the same, four-panelled window. In fact, one of the new features in version 3.6 is precisely the addition of the Commentaries editor, with which you can add your own commentaries to Bible verses using a MS Word-style interface. The program also features a comprehensive library containing many interesting Christian and Bible-related books, such as Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth by C.I. Scofield, Which Translation Should You Trust? by Timothy S. Morton, and more. You will find a small but nice collection of images which you can print and/or export to other programs, for example, to illustrate essays and presentations. Another new characteristic in this version is the possibility of adding your own images to the collection. Also, a very interesting feature is the daily devotional, containing F.B. Meyer's Our Daily Walk. The Devotional panel has been updated too, allowing you to change the date featured to read the devotional corresponding to a date other than today's. You can further enhance the basic program by downloading and installing two extra modules: Webster's 1828 Dictionary, Abridged, and the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, which is a commentary by R.A. Torrey. Also, you can order a CD-ROM containing the program and many other add-ins by paying only duplication and P&H costs. The CD contents had been updated too with more Bible versions and Bible-related texts.
